Oxenhope is a small village in the metropolitan borough of Bradford, set in the steep-sided valley of the Worth Valley in West Yorkshire. It sits amid rolling Pennines moorland a short distance from Haworth and Keighley, with nearby features such as Leeming Reservoir, making it popular for walkers and those exploring Brontë country.
Historically centred on woollen mills and quarrying, the village keeps much of its stone-built character and is the terminus of the heritage Keighley and Worth Valley Railway, which brings regular tourism. Today Oxenhope combines a strong local community - pubs, a primary school and village activities - with a mixed economy of commuting to nearby towns and small-scale tourism linked to the railway and the surrounding landscape.
