Chiltern Villages is a semi-rural ward in Buckinghamshire, set on the rolling chalk slopes and wooded combes of the Chiltern Hills within the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area is characterised by beechwoods, commons and hedgerow-rich farmland, with a scatter of historic flint churches, timber-framed cottages and small village greens that give a very distinct Chilterns character.
Locally the economy mixes agriculture and small businesses with a strong commuter element thanks to good rail and road links into London, and village life remains active around pubs, halls and parish councils. The landscape also draws walkers and cyclists, and the long history of settlement is visible in ancient footpaths, field patterns and listed buildings, making it popular with those seeking countryside close to the capital.
