Ibstone is a small village and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, set high on the chalk escarpment of the Chiltern Hills near the Oxfordshire border. Perched above surrounding lowlands, it is one of the higher settlements in the county and is characterised by mixed woodland, patches of chalk grassland and broad views over the Vale of Oxford.
The village keeps a quiet, rural character with historic cottages and a parish church, farming alongside a proportion of commuters who travel to nearby centres such as Princes Risborough and Stokenchurch. Outdoor life is important locally: Pulpit Hill and other nearby reserves with ancient earthworks and species-rich grassland make the area popular with walkers and conservation-minded residents, and the small community maintains traditional village events and a strong sense of local identity.
