The twin villages of Offord Cluny and Offord D'Arcy sit on the banks of the River Great Ouse in Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, England, and are commonly known together as the Offords. Close to St Ives and within easy reach of Cambridge and Huntingdon, they have medieval origins with names reflecting Norman-era landholders and monastic associations, and their riverside meadows and floodplain give the area a distinctly rural, waterside character.
Today the Offords are modest, largely residential communities with a mix of period cottages and newer housing; historically agricultural, they now host many commuters who travel to nearby towns and cities. Local life centres on village halls, clubs and pubs, riverside walks and angling, and occasional community events, preserving a close-knit village feel while benefiting from good road and rail links to larger regional centres and London.
