The twin villages of Offord D'Arcy and Offord Cluny sit on the east bank of the River Great Ouse in historic Huntingdonshire, Cambridgeshire, roughly between St Neots and Huntingdon. Their riverside setting gives a mix of floodplain meadows, waterside walks and good birdwatching, while being close enough to main roads and rail links to make them popular with commuters heading to Cambridge or London.
Both settlements have medieval roots - originally two manors that took on the family names D'Arcy and Cluny - and retain a villagey feel with local clubs, a primary school and small-scale agriculture nearby. The character is quietly historic rather than touristy: narrow lanes, old cottages and community events keep village life lively, even as many residents combine rural living with work elsewhere.
