Clophill is a small village and civil parish in Central Bedfordshire, England, set on the sandy rise of the Greensand Ridge. The parish looks out over a patchwork of arable fields and pockets of heathland, and its lanes and thatched cottages give a distinctly rural character while sitting within easy reach of nearby market towns.
There has been settlement here since medieval times and the village retains an atmospheric historic core with the ruins of an older church alongside the later parish church; local folklore and ghost stories have long added to its reputation. The local economy is a mix of agriculture, small businesses and commuters working in towns such as Ampthill, Flitwick, Bedford and Luton, and community life centres on the village hall, pubs and regular local events.
