Harlington is a large village and civil parish in Central Bedfordshire, England, set in gently undulating Bedfordshire countryside a few miles west of Luton and south-west of Dunstable. Its position close to the M1 corridor means many residents commute to nearby employment centres such as Milton Keynes and London, while the surrounding farmland and hedgerows give it a distinctly rural feel despite good road links.
The village keeps a traditional character with a historic core, a parish church, pubs, a village hall, local shops and sports clubs; there are several listed buildings and an active programme of community events and fĂȘtes. Economically it is largely residential with some agriculture and small businesses, and socially it retains a strong village identity with lively voluntary groups and school- and church-based activities.
