Maulden is a village and civil parish in Central Bedfordshire, England, sitting on the Greensand Ridge between Ampthill and Flitwick and overlooking the low-lying claylands of the Marston Vale. The area is dominated by the large ancient woodland of Maulden Wood and the small streams that feed the River Flit, giving the parish a strong sense of place and attractive walking country.
Historically agricultural with links to the wider clay and brick-making economy of the vale, Maulden retains a compact village core of older buildings and a historic parish church, while today many residents commute to nearby towns and beyond. The community lives around its village hall, pubs and primary school, and local conservation and walking routes make it popular for outdoor recreation and wildlife interest.
