Launcells is a small, mainly rural parish in north Cornwall, a few miles inland from the north coast near Bude and close to the border with Devon. It consists of scattered hamlets, lanes and hedged farmland set across gently rolling countryside, with small streams and a distinctive pattern of stone farmhouses and fields.
Historically rooted in agriculture, the parish still feels largely agricultural in character though many locals now commute to nearby towns or work in tourism and small local enterprises; there’s a quiet village atmosphere with occasional community events and a well-preserved sense of local history visible in the older buildings and lanes.
