Heage is a small village in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, England, perched on a ridge between Ripley and Belper. It looks out over open countryside towards the Peak District and combines traditional stone cottages and farmland with some more modern housing.
The village is best known for the restored six‑sailed Heage Windmill, a striking local landmark and community focus. Historically the locality mixed agriculture with small-scale industry; today it is largely residential, with a village pub, active community groups and a network of footpaths and bridleways popular with walkers.
