Burton Fleming is a small village and civil parish set in the rolling chalk of the Yorkshire Wolds in the East Riding of Yorkshire, a short drive inland from the North Sea and the market town of Driffield. The surrounding landscape of gentle hills, arable fields and country lanes makes it popular with walkers and gives easy access to the nearby coast around Bridlington.
The village has ancient roots with evidence of early settlement and a medieval core; agriculture has long shaped its economy and character. Today village life remains focused around the church, pub and village hall, with a mix of farming, small local enterprises and commuters, and community events and countryside pursuits that reflect its strong rural identity.
