Full Sutton is a small village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, lying a short distance east of the city of York. It retains a distinctly rural character, set among arable farmland and hedgerows typical of the area and serving a small local population rather than a tourist trade.
The locality is perhaps best known for the nearby former airbase, RAF Full Sutton, which dates from the Second World War and has since found civilian uses including light aviation and motorsport activity, and for the high‑security prison, HMP Full Sutton, which is a significant local employer; otherwise community life is quiet and centred on village and farming routines.
