Telscombe Cliffs is a small coastal settlement and civil parish in the district of Lewes, East Sussex, England, sitting on the chalk scarp of the South Downs and looking out over the English Channel. The cliffs and shingle beach give good sea views and walking access onto downland; the settlement itself largely grew in the 20th century as a quiet residential strip separate from the older inland village of Telscombe.
Socially and economically it functions mainly as a commuter and retirement community with easy access to nearby urban centres such as Brighton and Newhaven and the neighbouring coastal town of Peacehaven. Local character is defined by coastal walks, proximity to the downland commons (notably Telscombe Tye) and a low‑key seaside feel rather than tourist bustle.
