Maresfield is a village and civil parish in Wealden, East Sussex, set on the rolling, wooded countryside of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a few miles north of Uckfield. The parish blends farmland, ancient woodland and the remnants of parkland around Maresfield Park, giving it a rural character while still being within convenient commuting distance of larger towns.
The community has a long local history visible in the parish church, St Bartholomew's Church, which combines medieval fabric with Victorian restoration, and a lively village life centred on a hall, sports clubs (notably cricket) and seasonal events. The economy remains largely agricultural with small local businesses and commuters, and the surrounding woods and commons are much used for walking and wildlife watching.
