Beaumont-cum-Moze is a small, predominantly rural parish in the district of Tendring in Essex, sitting close to the county boundary with Suffolk and within easy reach of the River Stour estuary. The landscape is a patchwork of arable fields, hedgerows and quiet lanes, with a scattering of hamlets and traditional cottages that give the area a distinctly pastoral feel.
Historically it grew up around farming and a few notable country houses, and today retains a low‑key village character with several listed buildings and a village church contributing to local identity. Many residents commute to nearby towns such as Manningtree, Harwich and Colchester, while local life centres on parish events, agricultural activity and the conservation of the surrounding countryside.
