Odiham is a compact, historic village and ward in the district of Hart in Hampshire, England, centred on a pleasant high street, the ruined mound of Odiham Castle and the towpath of the Basingstoke Canal. Its mediaeval castle, partly a 13th‑century foundation of King John, and the surrounding conservation area give the place a distinctly rural, heritage feel even though it sits within easy reach of the M3 and larger towns, making it popular with commuters and owners of period homes.
The local economy is a mix of small independent shops, pubs and services, with the nearby RAF Odiham and wider military and civilian employers providing jobs; tourism, walking and boating along the canal also bring visitors. Social life is lively for a settlement of its size, with active community groups, village events and plenty of countryside on the doorstep for cycling, walking and equestrian activities.
