Crookham West and Ewshot sit on the western edge of the market town of Fleet, within the district of Hart in Hampshire, England. The area is pleasantly semi-rural, with a patchwork of suburban streets, village lanes, woodlands and small farms, and benefits from nearby green spaces such as Fleet Pond and easy access towards Farnham and the Surrey border. Good road and rail links mean many residents commute further afield, including to London, while still enjoying relatively quiet village life.
Historically tied to agriculture and small-scale local trades, the neighbourhood now combines a village community feel with a predominately residential character: village halls, local pubs and community groups remain important, and you’ll also find equestrian activity and small businesses scattered through the countryside. Planning protections and green-belt designations have kept much of the landscape intact, so the ward retains a strong sense of local identity alongside the practical benefits of being close to larger towns and employment centres in Hart.
