Barnoldswick

Barnoldswick is a small market town in the borough of Pendle, in the county of Lancashire, England. Sitting close to the county boundary, it provides a handy doorway to walking country on the edges of the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland, so countryside and outdoor pursuits are a big part of local life.

Historically the town was part of the old West Riding of Yorkshire until the 1974 reorganisation, and it grew through textile mills in the 19th century; in the 20th century light engineering and aerospace-related manufacturing became important employers alongside local shops and services.
