The village of Quorn sits in the borough of Charnwood in Leicestershire, England, a short drive from Loughborough and within easy reach of Leicester. Nestled on the edge of the Charnwood Forest countryside, it has a compact historic centre of stone and brick cottages, a village green and a conservation area, and benefits from the nearby heritage Great Central Railway with Quorn and Woodhouse station that brings steam services and walkers into the area.
It is famed for lending its name to the long-established Quorn Hunt, one of England’s best-known foxhound packs, and the village also gave its name to the Quorn meat-free brand. Today it functions partly as a commuter community for nearby towns while sustaining local shops, pubs, clubs and regular community events; outdoor pursuits, footpaths and the heritage railway keep a steady trickle of visitors and support a modest local economy.
