Newport Pagnell is a historic market town and civil parish on the eastern edge of Milton Keynes in Buckinghamshire, set beside the River Ouzel and close to the Grand Union Canal. Its compact high street, timber-framed buildings and conservation area reflect its medieval market origins, while good road links - notably proximity to the M1 and Milton Keynes’ road network - make it a convenient commuter base.
The town is perhaps best known for the long association with Aston Martin, whose Tickford works produced many classic cars and left a distinctive industrial heritage. Today Newport Pagnell combines heritage tourism, independent shops, local events and small business parks, retaining a village-like community feel despite the growth of the surrounding new town.
