Burgh St. Peter is a small riverside village and civil parish in South Norfolk, in the county of Norfolk, England. It sits on the south bank of the River Waveney at the edge of The Broads, so the surrounding landscape is low-lying marsh, meadow and waterways that attract boaters, anglers and birdwatchers. Narrow lanes, a scattering of flint and brick cottages and waterside moorings give the village a quietly rural, waterside character.
Historically the settlement grew around river trade and a medieval church dedicated to St Peter, and today its economy is largely agricultural with a steady contribution from leisure and tourism linked to the Broads. Social life is typical of a small Norfolk village - community events, church activities and local clubs play a big part - while nearby towns such as Loddon provide additional services and links to the wider region.
