Burringham is a small village and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England, lying on the west bank of the River Trent a few miles south of Scunthorpe. The local landscape is characteristically flat and agricultural, with riverside meadows and drainage channels that attract birdlife and give the area a quiet, rural feel despite its proximity to larger industrial towns.
Historically the village grew up with links to the river and to farming, and there are still a scattering of older houses and a village community around the church and hall. Today many residents commute to nearby towns while local life revolves around modest amenities, community events and the seasons of the surrounding arable countryside.
