Desborough is a small former market town in North Northamptonshire, England, lying a few miles west of Kettering and close to the border with Leicestershire. It grew significantly in the 18th and 19th centuries around framework knitting and the boot‑and‑shoe industries, leaving a townscape of Victorian terraces and converted workshops set against rolling farmland and the nearby valley of the River Ise.
Today Desborough combines a strong local community with independent shops, sports clubs and civic groups, plus efforts to conserve its industrial heritage. Good road links to neighbouring towns mean many residents commute, but the town still maintains a distinct local identity and a range of community events and services for residents.
