Polebrook is a small village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, set in the rolling, agricultural countryside a short distance from the market town of Oundle. It retains a rural character with a close‑knit community, village amenities and a mix of farming and commuter households who travel to nearby towns for work and services.
The village has medieval roots and a traditional parish church at its heart, but its most widely known feature is the nearby RAF Polebrook airfield, which was an active Bomber Command base in the Second World War and hosted United States Army Air Forces units; traces of that wartime history are still visible and commemorated locally alongside the everyday rhythms of country life.
