High Worsall is a small rural parish in the Hambleton district of North Yorkshire, perched on the northern bank of the River Tees a few miles west of Yarm and south‑east of Northallerton. The village overlooks the Tees floodplain, with a landscape of arable fields, pastures and hedgerows and riverside habitats that support a variety of birdlife and make for attractive riverside walks.
Historically the area shows traces of earlier settlement and retains old farmsteads, and its economy remains predominantly agricultural with a number of smallholdings alongside residents who commute to nearby towns. Socially it has the quiet, close‑knit character of many small Yorkshire communities, valued for its unspoilt countryside and easy access to the wider Tees valley.
