Rillington is a small village and civil parish in North Yorkshire, positioned on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds and just a few miles west of the market town of Malton beside the A64. The surrounding landscape is gently rolling farmland and hedgerows, giving it a distinctly rural feel while still being within easy reach of larger towns and the coast.
Historically the area has been agricultural, and that heritage is still evident in the mix of traditional stone cottages, farms and a modest cluster of local services such as a parish church, primary school, village hall and pub. Community life centres on those facilities and occasional village events, and economically the parish combines farming and small local businesses with many residents commuting to nearby centres for work.
