Swarland

Swarland is a small village in Northumberland in north‑east England, set in gently rolling farmland and scattered woodland a short drive from market towns such as Alnwick and Morpeth and within easy reach of the Northumberland coast and the city of Newcastle. The surrounding countryside of hedged fields and small streams makes the area popular with walkers and birdwatchers and gives the settlement a distinctly rural character.

Historically the village grew around a country estate, and remnants of the old parkland and estate buildings still shape its streetscape; several former estate structures have been converted to private homes.
