Nuffield is a small village and civil parish in South Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England, perched on the scarp of the Chiltern Hills with views down to the River Thames valley. The landscape of chalk downland, beech woodlands and quiet lanes makes it popular with walkers and offers a rural feel despite its proximity to larger towns.
The village is best known for Nuffield Place, the former home of William Morris, Viscount Nuffield, founder of Morris Motors, which is preserved with many original belongings and motoring memorabilia and attracts visitors interested in industrial and social history. Historically agricultural, Nuffield today supports a small, close-knit community and serves as a commuter and leisure base for nearby centres such as Goring-on-Thames, Wallingford and the cities of Oxford and Reading.
