Kingshurst is a residential area and civil parish to the north of Solihull in the West Midlands, historically part of Warwickshire. It developed from a small rural settlement into a substantial mid‑20th century council estate, so the neighbourhood has a mix of post‑war housing, later private developments and pockets of open space that still hint at its village past.
The area is anchored by local shops, community facilities and green spaces such as Kingshurst Hall Park, and has a strong local identity shaped by several waves of regeneration. Economically many people commute to nearby Birmingham or work in local light industry, and the parish benefits from relatively easy access to the motorway network and amenities like Birmingham Airport and the National Exhibition Centre.
