Pylle is a small rural village and civil parish in Somerset, in the Mendip district of England. Set among rolling countryside on the fringes of the Mendip Hills, it retains a largely agricultural character with farms, hedgerow-lined lanes and traditional stone cottages, while residents commonly rely on nearby market towns for shops and services.
The parish has roots stretching back through the medieval period, reflected in its parish church and a handful of listed buildings, and local life tends to revolve around the church, the village hall and occasional community events. Its quiet, scenic setting makes it popular with walkers and with people seeking a peaceful base not far from larger centres such as Wells or Glastonbury.
