The Charltons is a small civil parish in Somerset, England, made up of the neighbouring villages of Charlton Mackrell and Charlton Adam. Set in gently rolling farmland not far from the market town of Somerton and within easy reach of Yeovil, the area is characterised by hedged fields, small copses and narrow country lanes.
The local economy remains largely agricultural, complemented by a handful of small businesses and commuting residents, while the built environment includes medieval parish churches and several listed cottages. Community life is village-centred with a parish council and occasional local events, giving the place a quiet, close-knit feel while nearby towns supply wider services and transport links.
