Featherstone is a small village in the district of South Staffordshire, in the county of Staffordshire, England. It sits close to the border with the West Midlands, within easy reach of places such as Wolverhampton and the heathland of Cannock Chase, and retains a largely rural feel with surrounding farmland and pockets of historic buildings.
Historically the settlement grew from agriculture and has felt the wider industrial influences of nearby towns and former coalfields, but today it is largely a quiet commuter and community village with a village hall, local pubs and small businesses. The social mix tends to include long-standing local families alongside people who work in neighbouring towns and cities, and the place is valued for its countryside access and low-key local events rather than any large tourist attractions.
