Artington is a small civil parish just to the south‑east of Guildford in Surrey, England. It remains largely rural in character, with farmland, riverside meadows along the River Wey and a scattering of historic lanes and houses, yet it sits very close to the conveniences of the town so feels quietly residential rather than remote.
The area has traditional agricultural roots but today functions largely as a commuter and local‑community neighbourhood, with good road links (notably the A3) and easy access to the railway and nearby institutions such as the University of Surrey. Its proximity to the North Downs and the wider Surrey Hills makes it popular for walks and outdoor leisure, and the social feel is relaxed and community‑oriented rather than urban or commercial.
