Gomshall is a small village on the banks of the River Tillingbourne, about 6 miles east of Guildford in Surrey, England. It sits in the undulating foothills of the North Downs within the Surrey Hills AONB, making it popular with walkers while retaining a distinctly rural character despite good road links.
Historically the river powered a cluster of watermills for corn, paper and leather work and traces survive in converted buildings such as Gomshall Mill. The village is served by Shere and Gomshall railway station on the North Downs Line, so it combines a quiet village centre with a commuter connection to Guildford and London, a few local pubs and shops, and an active community preserving its historic appearance.
