Peaslake is a small village in the borough of Guildford, in Surrey, England, tucked into the rolling woodlands and heath of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Set on the edge of the vast Hurtwood, it’s a popular base for walkers, mountain bikers and riders who use the network of tracks and commons that characterise the area.
Historically a cluster of farms and cottages, Peaslake retains a strong local community with a village hall, a handful of small businesses and events that cater both to residents and visiting outdoor enthusiasts; economically it remains largely residential, with a small hospitality and leisure sector that reflects its rural setting and proximity to nearby villages such as Shere.
