Tadworth is a suburban village in the borough of Reigate and Banstead in Surrey, lying on the lower slopes of the North Downs around a short commuter journey from London. It feels residential and village‑like with local shops, schools and community groups, good rail links on the Tattenham Corner line, and greenbelt countryside close by that gives easy access to open space.
Nearby the open chalk expanses of Epsom Downs form a striking bit of common land on the North Downs, dominated by the famous Epsom Downs Racecourse - home of the Epsom Derby since 1780 - which brings a long equestrian tradition, seasonal visitor trade and hospitality business to the area. Away from race days the Downs are valued for panoramic views, walking, local events and wildlife, making them an important cultural and recreational asset for the borough and surrounding communities.
