New Haw is a suburban ward in the borough of Runnymede, Surrey, England, situated between Addlestone and Byfleet close to the River Wey and the Basingstoke Canal. It has a mix of residential streets, some light commercial areas and waterside leisure, and benefits from easy access into London and to Heathrow, so it’s popular with commuters while still feeling more village-like than inner suburban.
Historically the locality grew up around the waterways and related trades, and today retains green corridors, towpaths and marinas that draw walkers and boaters; local community groups, parks and small businesses give it a quiet, practical character within the borough that is also known for the nearby Runnymede meadow associated with the sealing of the Magna Carta.
