The village and civil parish of Woldingham sits on the chalk ridge of the North Downs in the district of Tandridge, Surrey, England. Its elevated position gives wide views across the Weald and towards London, and much of the surrounding countryside lies within the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; the settlement is close to Oxted and Caterham and is served by a station on the Oxted Line, which makes it popular with commuters.
Woldingham is largely residential, with a mix of period houses, estate land and woodland, and a character shaped by historic country estates and agricultural roots. A long-established independent girls’ school occupies a former country house in the village, and local life revolves around village amenities, equestrian pursuits, walking on the Downs and a small but socially active community that often combines countryside living with work in the capital.
