The village and civil parish of Kingsbury lies in the north of Warwickshire within the district of North Warwickshire, a short distance from the edges of the West Midlands. It is perhaps best known for Kingsbury Water Park, a series of lakes, reedbeds and trails created from former gravel workings that now provide popular walking, cycling and watersports opportunities and an important local wildlife habitat.
Historically the area has agricultural roots with historic mining and industrial links, and today it also contains significant energy and logistics infrastructure, notably the large oil storage and distribution complex often called the Kingsbury Oil Terminal. The parish combines village amenities, pubs, sports clubs and community events and serves in part as a commuter base for larger centres such as Birmingham and Coventry, while retaining a distinct local identity.
