Woolhampton

Woolhampton is a small village and civil parish in West Berkshire, England, sitting beside the River Kennet and the Kennet and Avon Canal. The canal, its waterside features and Woolhampton Lock underline the village’s historic connection to 18th–19th century transport and trade, and there are attractive older buildings and converted mill sites that reflect that past.

Located on the A4 corridor roughly between Reading and Newbury, Woolhampton retains a largely rural, residential character with surrounding farmland, local pubs and small businesses; many residents commute to nearby towns, while the community still centres on village events and waterside walking and boating.
