Fulking is a small village and civil parish in the Mid Sussex district of West Sussex, England, tucked into the scarp of the South Downs. Perched on steep chalk slopes, it is characterised by flint and brick cottages, narrow lanes and a network of footpaths and bridleways that make it popular with walkers and nature lovers.
The community is small and village life centres on local clubs, conservation of chalk grassland and spring‑fed streams, and a strong sense of local identity. Historically agricultural, it retains a rural character while being within commuting reach of larger centres such as Brighton, and the parish council and volunteers are active in maintaining amenities and organising occasional village events.
