Milston is a tiny civil parish in Wiltshire, England, lying on the northern edge of Salisbury Plain and overlooking the Vale of Pewsey. There is no concentrated village as such but a scattering of farmsteads and a small cluster of houses; the landscape is classic chalk downland, used largely for arable farming and grazing, with quiet lanes and open views that attract walkers and birdwatchers.
Like many places on the downs, Milston bears traces of a long history - prehistoric barrows and earthworks are visible in the neighbourhood and medieval field patterns survive around the farms. Social life is modest and closely tied to nearby larger villages for services and events, so the parish has a very rural, low‑key character that reflects its agricultural economy and proximity to military training areas on the plain.
