St Bride's Minor is a semi-rural community on the northern edge of Bridgend in south Wales, lying within the Wales Valleys-to-coast fringe. It combines small villages, pockets of farmland and suburban housing and sits within easy commuting distance of the town centre and larger cities, so many residents work locally or travel to Cardiff and beyond.
The area has a quiet, village feel shaped by a nineteenth- and twentieth-century industrial past - particularly coal and related trades - and by a historic church dedication to St Bride that gives the community its name. Today it’s known for local amenities, community groups and accessible green spaces beside waterways such as the River Ogmore, which provide popular walking and cycling routes and a reminder of the parish’s rural roots.
