Moel Famau is a county electoral ward in Denbighshire, Wales, covering a mainly rural area on the western flanks of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB. The ward is centred on the distinctive hill after which it is named and includes small villages and hamlets that feed into the local agricultural and visitor economy.
Geographically the ward is dominated by the slopes and summit of Moel Famau, home to the ruins of the Jubilee Tower and prehistoric features that make it a popular spot for walkers and hill‑fort enthusiasts. Economically and socially it remains largely farming‑based with growing income from outdoor tourism; communities are small and close‑knit, with residents often travelling to nearby towns such as Ruthin, Mold or Wrexham for services and work, and it returns councillors to Denbighshire County Council.
