Llandrinio is a rural electoral ward in Powys, Wales, lying close to the England–Wales border and set beside the River Severn. The landscape is typical mid-Wales countryside of rolling fields, hedgerows and small hamlets, with market towns such as Welshpool and Oswestry within easy reach.
The local economy is largely agricultural, with a mixture of farming, small businesses and commuters travelling to nearby towns. The area has a long history reflected in older buildings and a village church, and a strong community feel centred on village halls, pubs and local events; its riverside and borderland location also makes it popular for walking and outdoors pursuits.
