Beddau is a village in Rhondda Cynon Taf in Wales, sitting on the western edge of the South Wales Valleys. It lies a short drive from Llantrisant and Pontypridd and is within commuting distance of Cardiff, making it a quiet residential spot with easy access to larger towns and the capital.
Historically a coal‑mining community - the village name Beddau literally means "graves" in Welsh - it still shows traces of its industrial past in older terraces and local architecture. Today it’s largely a commuter and family-focused settlement with an active local scene: village clubs, sports teams (notably rugby), small businesses and volunteer groups sustain a strong community feel despite economic shifts since the decline of mining.
