Llantwit Fardre

Llantwit Fardre is a long‑established parish and village in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales, sitting on the southern edge of the South Wales Valleys within easy commuting distance of Cardiff. It occupies a semi‑rural setting of rolling farmland and former industrial land, with good views across the valleys and handy road links to nearby towns such as Pontypridd.

Historically part of Glamorgan, the area grew from an agricultural parish into a community shaped by 19th‑century coal and railway development; since the late 20th century it has largely become a residential commuter area while retaining a strong local identity.
