Newton St. Loe

Newton St. Loe is a small village and civil parish in Bath and North East Somerset, England, set on low-lying ground beside the River Avon a few miles west of Bath and within easy reach of Bristol and the M4. The surrounding landscape is largely farmland and the leafy parkland of Newton Park, giving it a quiet, semi-rural feel while remaining a practical commuter and campus-adjacent community.

The village has medieval roots and retains earthworks and later remains of Newton St. Loe Castle alongside a listed country house and landscaped parkland; parts of the estate are now occupied by Bath Spa University, which brings a student presence and local employment.
