Stockland Green is a residential ward in north Birmingham, a few miles from the city centre and close to the Gravelly Hill interchange often nicknamed the "Spaghetti Junction" and the M6. It mixes Victorian terraces with post‑war council and suburban housing, with small shopping parades and pockets of green space that give it a suburban feel despite good urban links.
The ward is ethnically and culturally diverse, with active community groups, places of worship and local centres that help sustain a strong neighbourhood identity. Much of the local economy is small‑scale retail and light industry nearby, reflecting its 20th‑century municipal development while providing practical commuter access into Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.
