Cullingworth is a compact village and civil parish in the metropolitan borough of Bradford, in West Yorkshire, England. Sitting on the fringe of the South Pennines, it has a mix of moorland and rolling farmland around it and offers pleasant views across the nearby valleys; its position gives a rural feel while still being within easy reach of larger market towns.
Historically the community grew up around local stone quarrying and the wool and textile trades that shaped much of the region, and today it combines remnants of that industrial past with a largely residential character. Local life is centred on the village hall, shops, pubs and school, and there’s an active community spirit with clubs and events, while many residents commute to nearby towns for work.
